Boychuk won't need surgery

Boston Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk will not require surgery for the fractured orbital bone he suffered after being hit in the face with a puck in Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks, but he will be out of action seven to 10 days, according to coach Claude Julien.

That means Boychuk will not play until after the upcoming Olympic break.

"He's very lucky. A quarter-inch the other way and it could have been a lot, lot worse," Julien told reporters Sunday afternoon ...
