Josh Beckett not talking contract

Red Sox want him beyond his season, but will they be willing to pay?

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Josh Beckett has never played a single inning of professional baseball in which he was not a millionaire.

He achieved that status at age 19 when he signed a four-year, $7 million contract ($3.625 million signing bonus) with the team that drafted him No. 2 overall, the Florida Marlins.
