Bruins' Adam McQuaid sitting out

BOSTON -- Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid didn't play in Wednesday night's 5-1 Game 3 win against the Philadelphia Flyers due to a neck sprain.

McQuaid did not participate in the morning or pregame skates and was replaced by Shane Hnidy.

"[McQuaid] is day to day and there's nothing more to report on that situation," Bruins coach Claude Julien said before the game. "Shane Hnidy is our guy ready to play and he's certainly a possibility in our lineup tonight."
