Source: Mark Recchi plans to retire

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Boston Bruins veteran forward Mark Recchi said prior to the playoffs that if the Bruins won the Stanley Cup, he would "sail off into the sunset" and retire after 22 seasons in the NHL.

Prior to Game 6, a source close to Recchi said that the future Hall of Famer is planning to retire win or lose, so Game 7 will be Recchi's last NHL game unless he changes his mind in the coming weeks. If Wednesday night is indeed Recchi's swan song, his coach and teammates ...
