Adrian Gonzalez (stiff neck) scratched

CHICAGO -- Boston Red Sox first baseman Adrian Gonzalez missed just his second game of the season Friday night, sitting out Boston's 3-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox with a stiff neck.

Gonzalez said the neck was bothering him even before Thursday's loss to the Kansas City Royals.
