Pats cut cornerback Leigh Bodden

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots on Friday released Leigh Bodden, a move that surprised players when they were informed of the cornerback's departure Friday morning.

"He's enjoyed this time in New England, but after meeting with Coach (Bill) Belichick this morning, both parties agreed it was time to move on," Bodden's agent, Alvin Keels, said.
