Johnny Boychuk, Bruins agree

BOSTON -- The Bruins and defenseman Johnny Boychuk have agreed on a three-year contract extension, the team confirmed Tuesday night.

Boychuk will earn $3.1 million, $3.4 million and $3.6 million respectively over the terms of the new deal, according to Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli. There's also a limited no-trade clause.

"I'm obviously happy," Boychuk said. "It wasn't really a big secret I wanted to stay here, so I'm just excited.
