Pats' Matt Light officially retires

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots offensive tackle Matt Light formally announced his retirement in a ceremony at the team's Hall of Fame at Gillette Stadium on Monday.

Light, 33, said that he wanted to end his NFL career in part to spend more time with his family.

"I've got a daughter that's 10, and I've got two boys who are knuckleheads, and they need a lot of guidance, and they need a lot more time," Light said.
