All of 38 Studios' finances probed

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The state of Rhode Island is working to determine how much it stands to lose in a $75 million loan guarantee deal for former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling's video gaming company after its bankruptcy filing this week.

Officials believe that the state will be first in the line of creditors to 38 Studios, and that the company's assets could be worth a substantial amount. But they don't yet know how much taxpayers might have to pay to make good on a guarantee economic development ...
