Brad Marchand leaves Bruins game

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand left the team's 5-4 victory against the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night in Newark, N.J., after he was hit with an elbow to the head by defenseman Anton Volchenkov.

The play took place 15:11 into the second period, with the Bruins leading 4-1. Marchand, who had an earlier assist, left the game and did not return. The Bruins did not offer any other specifics on his condition. Marchand leads the team in points with 33 and goals with 16.
