Clay Buchholz heads back to DL

BOSTON -- Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz, who has a strained trapezius muscle in his neck, was placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 9.

Buchholz threw a bullpen session before Tuesday night's game against the Tampa Bay Rays, but apparently did not show sufficient progress to clear him to start this weekend.
