Nathan Horton to test free agency

NEWARK -- Boston Bruins forward Nathan Horton has informed general manager Peter Chiarelli that he plans on testing unrestricted free agency and won't be signing a contract with Boston.

"It wasn't about numbers or money," Horton's agent Paul Krepelka told ESPN The Magazine, adding that it was a chance for a fresh start.
