MIAMI -- Rookie New England Patriots wide receivers Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins have been ruled out for Sunday's road game against the Miami Dolphins.

Dobson will miss his third straight game with a foot injury, while Thompkins will miss his second straight with a hip injury.

In their absences, the Patriots turned to rookie Josh Boyce, a fourth-round draft choice out of Texas Christian, last weekend. Veterans Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola also were among the team's top three receivers, with Austin Collie and Matthew Slater providing depth.

Elsewhere on the injury front, right tackle Marcus Cannon, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury, made the trip. Although he was listed as questionable for the game, he will play.
