FOXBOROUGH -- The New England Patriots concluded their second practice of training camp and, once again, an overflowing crowd was on hand to watch at Gillette Stadium.

This practice wasn't as sharp as Thursday's opener.

On the injury front, rookie cornerback Alfonzo Dennard didn't finish the session. Head trainer Jim Whalen was working on Dennard's right hamstring.

Dennard, a seventh-round pick out of Nebraska, had a nice pass breakup earlier in the practice.

One different wrinkle came with tight end Aaron Hernandez serving as one of the team's punt returners.

Newly signed offensive lineman Darrion Weems practiced after the team announced his signing earlier in the day.

Full observations to come.
