8. Harvard Makes NCAAs

March 7: Tommy Amaker's Harvard basketball team earned its first NCAA tournament bid since 1946, and clinched its first outright Ivy League title. Amaker called it "a tremendous moment for Harvard University, our basketball program and our community." Unfortunately for the Harvard program, a cheating scandal led two of the team's star players to withdraw from the school, leaving a huge void for the Crimson.
