Edes: Broken ribs, lost season. Grade: Incomplete

Marco Scutaro, SS

Edes: Played hurt all season; it showed. Grade: C+

Victor Martinez, C

Edes: Offense stellar, but teams ran at will. Grade: B

Adrian Beltre, 3B

Edes: Sox MVP one tough hombre. Grade: A

Dustin Pedroia, 2B

Edes: He'll always have Coors Field. Grade: A

Kevin Youkilis, 1B

Edes: Was having MVP-worthy season 'til hurt. Grade: A

David Ortiz, DH

Edes: Squashed talk he was done ... but bedeviled by lefties. Grade: B

J.D. Drew, OF

Edes: Late surge masks off year for right fielder. Grade: C

Bill Hall, OF/IF

Edes: Most HRs ever for Sox part-timer; tons of K's. Grade: B-

Mike Lowell, 1B/3B

Edes: Awkward situation ends with fond farewell. Grade: C-

Darnell McDonald, OF

Edes: Minor league lifer gave all he's got. Grade: B-

Jason Varitek, C

Edes: Classy transition; he'll play somewhere in '11. Grade: C

Jed Lowrie, SS

Edes: When healthy, showed flashes of potential. Grade: C+

Mike Cameron, OF

Edes: Gallantry didn't translate into results. Grade: C

Ryan Kalish, OF

Edes: Attitude and athleticism bode well for future. Grade: C+

Daniel Nava, OF

Edes: One shining moment ... his first at-bat. Grade: C-

Edes: Little impact in bit role. Grade: C-

Edes: Part-timer didn't drive in a single run. Grade: D-

Edes: As good a setup man as there was in AL. Grade: A-
