Mayweather stripped of WBO title

Floyd Mayweather's welterweight world title was stripped by the WBO today in a procedural move. Boxers cannot hold world titles in multiple weight classes, and Mayweather failed to vacate his two junior middleweight titles and pay a $200K sanctioning fee by Friday's deadline. He has 14 days to file a written appeal.
