Michael Koncz, Manny Pacquiao's top adviser, is resting comfortably in the hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack, according to Pacquiao spokesman Fred Sternburg.
It's the second time Koncz has been hospitalized since arriving in Macau, China for Pacquiao's welterweight fight against Brandon Rios on Saturday night at the CotaiArena at the Venetian Macao.
Koncz had chest pain and suffered an apparent heart attack on Tuesday night Macau time.
Sternburg said that Koncz had a Bell's Palsy attack on the airplane on the way from Pacquiao's training camp in the Philippines to Macau on Sunday and was hospitalized upon his arrival with partial facial paralysis and high blood pressure as a result of the attack.
Koncz was released Monday but went back to the hospital with chest pains on Tuesday and is undergoing tests.
Pacquiao is aware of Koncz's medical situation but not distracted by it, and continues to prepare for the scheduled 12-round HBO PPV fight on his usual schedule, Sternburg said.
Koncz is expected to be released in time for the fight, Sternburg said.
