Five keys for Canelo Alvarez

With no titles at stake Saturday, former junior middleweight titlist Canelo Alvarez returns to the ring after suffering the first defeat of his career.

Alvarez (42-1-1, 30 KOs) will face countryman Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo, an aggressive puncher who will apply plenty of pressure from the start, in a 12-roundsbout at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

The 23-year-old Mexican star lost his unbeaten status in September against pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., while Angulo (22-3, 18 KOs) enters Saturday's bout coming off a loss to Erislandy Lara, in which he knocked down the Cuban boxer twice.
