Nonito Donaire scored a unanimous decision over WBA featherweight champion Simpiwe Vetyeka after the bout was stopped when a cut caused by an accidental head-butt prevented Donaire from being able to see.

Donaire suffered the cut in the first round at the Venetian Macao's Cotai Arena in Macau but continued, although Vetyeka (26-2-0) head-butted Donaire several more times. Before the bell rang to start the fifth, Donaire told the referee he could no longer see. By rule, the fight went to the scorecards, and Donaire won 49-46 on all three judges' scorecards.

With Saturday's win, Donaire (33-2) has won a title in five weight classes -- flyweight, super flyweight (an interim title), bantamweight, super bantamweight and now featherweight.
