Five keys for Rod Salka

Rod Salka enters the biggest opportunity of his career on Saturday night, when the lightweight moves up to 140 pounds to face junior welterweight division champion Danny Garcia in a non-title bout in Brooklyn, New York.

The 10-round bout, which headlines a tripleheader at the Barclays Center (Showtime, 9 p.m. ET), offers Salka (19-3, 3 KOs), a heavy underdog, the chance to make a name for himself against one of the top fighters in the world in Garcia (28-0, 16 KOs).

Should Salka, 31, have designs on pulling the upset, he should take note of these five keys to success:

Avoid the left hook

Dance the night away

Adjust your angles

Be sneaky

Stay bitter
