Unbeaten welterweight titlist Shawn Porter has been on some kind of a run over the past year.
With a pair of dominant victories over then-titlist Devon Alexander last December and Paulie Malignaggi in April, Porter (24-0-1, 15 KOs) has announced himself as a major player at 147 pounds.
Porter, 26, a native of Akron, Ohio, enters his second title defense Saturday against fellow unbeaten Kell Brook of England (Showtime, 9 p.m. ET) at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
