David Haye wants to fight new heavyweight champion Lucas Browne in his next fight.
Haye (27-2, 25 KO), who demolished Mark De Mori in the first round of his comeback fight in January, is set to fight again at the O2 Arena on May 21 but his opponent is yet to be announced.
"I do have an opponent, but I am holding off a few days to try and secure Lucas Browne," Haye said.
"It seems after speaking to Team Hatton [Browne's promoter] that the possibility of Lucas Browne being available to fight on May's Haye Day show against myself is a possibility.
"Next week I will be getting some numbers from terrestrial television stations. Hopefully those numbers will be attractive enough to lure Brown back to the UK to allow me to challenge for my old WBA Championship."
Tyson Fury remains the WBA 'super' heavyweight champion after beating Wladimir Klitschko back in November, but Browne (24-0, 21 KO) became the 'regular' champion after his stoppage win over Ruslan Chagaev last weekend.
