Adonis Stevenson wins eliminator

MONTREAL -- Canadian super-middleweight Adonis Stevenson stopped Donovan George in the 12th round Friday night in a free-swinging IBF elimination bout.
Stevenson (19-1) also floored the resilient Chicago fighter twice in the fifth, again in the sixth round and twice in the 12th. With the victory, Stevenson became the mandatory challenger to IBF champion Carl Froch.
George dropped to 23-3-1.
