Vote: Norris Trophy

Read through the five candidates below for the Norris Trophy, awarded to the league's top defenseman, and cast your vote in the poll on the left-hand side of the page.

Al MacInnis
MacInnis, 39, is still one of the best in the league. Without Chris Pronger in the lineup, his durability and offense have been crutial as the Blues continue to battle the injury bug.

Nicklas Lidstrom
Lidstrom received the most NHL All-Star votes for the second year in a row. His plus-18 rating leads the team and his 33 points ranks third among NHL defensemen.

Sergei Zubov
Zubov's job just got tougher with Richard Matvichuk out for 4-6 weeks after breaking a bone in his left leg. But no one in Big D is worried. Not if Zubov keeps dishing out the assists the way he has been of late.

Derian Hatcher
Initially labeled as a possible casualty with the more wide-open game, Hatcher has rediscovered his game under new coach Dave Tippett. Hatcher's size, strength and decision making has turned him into a lynchpin of the Stars' defense.

Ed Jovanovski
Jovanovski is adding to his reputation as one of the most solid, all-around young defensemen in the game. He doesn't always get his due, playing in Vancouver and behind one of the top offensive lines in the league.
