Former Bears 1st round pick Kevin White is fully participating in OTAs after missing his entire rookie year. While Chicago has yet to see White play in a game, 2016 4th round pick LB Nick Kwiatkowski, White's ex-teammate at West Virginia, says the WR is explosive on the field.

Most indispensable player: Northwestern Wildcats

Without Justin Jackson, what would Northwestern's running game have looked like last season? Four times in 2015 he carried the ball at least 33 times.

The Bears held their first OTA open to the media. Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and linebacker Pernell McPhee were among the players not participating.

Cubs have given Arrieta plenty of offense

The Cubs have outscored their opponents by 58 runs in Jake Arrieta's nine starts this season. That ties the modern-era record for highest in a pitcher's first nine starts, Elias Sports Bureau notes (Yankees' Monte Pearson, 1936). Arrieta will face the rival Cardinals on Wednesday.

Todd Frazier on Chris Sale: "Those lanky guys will get you. His arm just spins every which way and – boom! -- it's 96 or 89. He's mixing his speeds really well this year. That's the sign of a great pitcher."
