Rose: "It's heartbreaking that people have to go through this, especially here in Chicago where we've already been going through for the last couple of years of senseless violence. Now giving them a reason to do the things that they're doing is kind of devastating."

Obama pardons turkeys, cooks Packers

President Barack Obama pardoned two Thanksgiving turkeys, and while listing the things he was thankful for, he said he's grateful the Bears will beat the Packers on Thursday.

Martellus Bennett out tonight

The Bears TE is still dealing with a rib injury suffered in Week 11 and won't play tonight against the Packers. Bennett is 4th in the NFL among tight ends with 50 receptions. RB Matt Forte (knee) and WR Alshon Jeffery (groin) are questionable.

Illini consider hiring Cubit permanently
