Strange outing for Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks who walked four batters but only gave up one hit over 5 innings. That hit was a grand slam to Justin Bour of the Marlins. All 4 runs were unearned due to an Addison Russell error. Cubs and Marlins both scored 4 in the opening inning and that's it for the game so far. 4-4 Bot 5

Bulls GM Gar Forman on the sales pitch he is going to give to prospective free agents this summer. "Great city, great organization a really good young core of players," Forman said after the draft in an interview on ESPN 1000. "I think there's a lot to sell here. We like the young core of players we have. It starts with Jimmy, who I said is a veteran, but is still 26 years old. The Bobby Portis' and [Cris] Felicio's and [Doug] McDermott's and Niko [Mirotic]. Now we add a couple more young guys today, Jerian Grant, who we're high on. So you can kind of see the direction that we're headed."
