Chicago Cubs general manager Jim Hendry had meetings with numerous teams on Tuesday night. The conversations were about a variety of players while still concentrating on trading Milton Bradley.

After dinner with his staff at the O'Hare Hilton, Hendry began his night with five hours of conversation. Among the teams he talked to were the Texas Rangers, Tampa Bay Rays, New York Mets and Detroit Tigers.

After his meetings with the clubs, Hendry met with agent Paul Kinzer at midnight to discuss a deal for right-handed reliever John Grabow. The parameters of an agreement began at two years, $7.5 million total. Both sides should be able to come to a meeting of the minds before full-blown free agency begins Nov. 20.

After the meeting with Kinzer, Hendry sat down with Milton Bradley's agent, Seth Levinson, to update him on negotiations and let him know about possible future destinations for Bradley and his two-year, $21.5 million contract.

We've also learned former Cubs general manager Ed Lynch has left the organization to pursue a job with Major League Baseball. Lynch was a scout in Arizona for the Cubs. He was fired as general manager in 2002.
