Bill Cubit receives contract extension

Illinois has awarded offensive coordinator Bill Cubit a raise and contract extension through the 2015 season, the school announced Wednesday.

Cubit oversaw a dramatic improvement with Illinois' offense in his first year on Tim Beckman's staff. The Illini improved from 119th nationally in both yards and points to 52nd in yards and 61st in points.
