Zambrano ejected after bumping umpire

Chicago Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano was ejected on Wednesday after bumping into umpire Mark Carlson during an argument over a play at the plate.

The Cubs were leading the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 in the seventh at Wrigley Field when Zambrano fired a wild pitch with Nyjer Morgan on third base.

Morgan scored on a close play, and Zambrano immediately began arguing. After the two made contact, Zambrano was ejected. The pitcher then pointed in Carlson's face and gave him the ejection sign.
