Singles lift Bandits

The Chicago Bandits used four runs in the top of the fifth inning on Friday to beat the Akron Racers 5-1 in Akron, Ohio.

Chicago (21-6) had five infield singles, a sacrafice fly and took advantage of two Akron errors in the fifth. With the game tied at 1, Jamie Schloredt smacked a one-out single to the shortstop. Aileen Morales came in to pinch run for Schloredt and stole second base. Caitlin Lever then singled to third base, which moved Morales to third.
