Piniella: Gregg done for year

Chicago Cubs right-handed pitcher Kevin Gregg is done pitching for the season, manager Lou Piniella said in his pregame news conference on Tuesday.

The Cubs reliever will miss the rest of the season with cracked cartilage in his rib cage on the left side. Doctors told him that within two weeks the cartilage would be recovered and he'd be ready to pitch again.
