Rose won't compete in Skills challenge

DALLAS -- Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose, who suffered a bruised hip on Thursday, said he will play in Sunday night's All-Star Game.

Rose, however, will not defend his title in the Skills Competition on Saturday. Oklahoma City point guard Russell Westbrook, a good friend of Rose's, will take his place.

Rose suffered a bruised hip on Thursday after a hard foul from the Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard.
