Eric Wedge talks with Cubs owner

CHICAGO -- The process to hire the Cubs' next manager is in full motion as team chairman of the board Tom Ricketts has begun his interviews with candidates that general manager Jim Hendry and assistant GM Randy Bush began setting up six weeks ago.

Former Cleveland Indians manager Eric Wedge was the latest to be interviewed, meeting with Ricketts on Monday, according to major league sources. Triple-A Iowa manager Ryne Sandberg and interim manager Mike Quade have already had their interviews ...
