Bears cut Charles Grant

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears released Charles Grant on Tuesday, ending the veteran defensive end's two-week stint with the team.

In a corresponding move, the Bears elevated defensive end Barry Turner from the practice squad.

The Bears signed Grant, an eight-year veteran, on Oct. 5 after releasing defensive end Mark Anderson. Grant didn't appear in a game for the Bears.
