Irish's David Ruffer a Groza finalist

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame senior David Ruffer, a walk-on from Oakton, Va., has been named one of three finalists for the 2010 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award.

Ruffer has converted all 15 field-goal attempts this season and is 20 for 20 in his brief career with the Fighting Irish (6-5), which is the longest streak in program history and the longest active streak in the FBS. He has added 32 extra points on 34 attempts this fall.
