Cubs set series attendance record

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs set a Wrigley Field record for a three-game series this weekend, as 126,283 fans turned out to see the club take on the New York Yankees.

The series' biggest crowd came Saturday, when 42,236 packed the ballpark. Sunday's attendance was 41,828 and Friday's was 42,219.
