Bill Carmody eyes less recruiting time

EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern basketball coach Bill Carmody would like to see the July recruiting period trimmed from its current format of two 10-day periods for the sake of the coaches and players.

The NCAA currently allows coaches to evaluate players from July 6-15 and July 22-31.
