Source: Brad Maynard won't be a Bear

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears will not attempt to re-sign veteran punter Brad Maynard once NFL free agency officially begins Friday, a source close to the player confirmed.

The Chicago Tribune first reported the Bears contacted Maynard on Monday to inform him of their plans.
