Shoulder injury shelves Carlos Quentin

CHICAGO -- An MRI on Carlos Quentin Sunday revealed a sprain of the AC joint in his left shoulder, and the Chicago White Sox right fielder's status is day to day.

Quentin, who injured his shoulder making a diving catch early in Saturday's game, was out of the lineup for Sunday's finale against the Texas Rangers.

"It hurts," Quentin said. "(The MRI) said it's not broken. When I originally did it I thought something definitely broke. Hopefully, I just pray that it gets better quick. ...
