Illini suspend Jonathan Brown 1 game

Illinois has suspended starting linebacker Jonathan Brown one game for kneeing a Northwestern player in the groin on Saturday.

Brown, who is the second-leading tackler for the No. 19 Illini, was flagged for a personal foul in the first half of Saturday's 38-35 win when he kneed lineman Patrick Ward in the groin well after the play was over. He will not play this week at Indiana.
