Bears, Tim Jennings agree to terms

CHICAGO -- The Bears took care of some in-house business before the official start of NFL free agency by re-signing veteran cornerback Tim Jennings to a two-year deal.

Jennings was set to be an unrestricted free agent after starting 28 games for the Bears the past two seasons.

Signed by the Bears prior to the 2010 regular season, Jennings began as a reserve, but overtook Zack Bowman for the starting cornerback spot opposite Charles Tillman in Week 4.
