NHL fines Joel Quenneville $10,000

CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville has been fined $10,000 by the NHL for public comments critical of the officiating after Tuesday's 3-2 Game 3 overtime loss to the Phoenix Coyotes, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

Quenneville said the "refereeing tonight was a disgrace" in reference to a missed call by officials on Coyotes forward Raffi Torres after he hit Hawks winger Marian Hossa in the head near center ice. Torres was suspended indefinitely on Wednesday ...
