Earl Bennett fined for cleats

The NFL has fined Chicago Bears receiver Earl Bennett $10,500 for wearing orange cleats in Monday night's 13-7 win over the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field, Bennett confirmed to ESPNChicago.com's Jeff Dickerson.

Brandon Marshall also wore orange cleats, but it's not certain if he was fined.

Bennett told ESPNChicago.com that he plans to appeal the fine because he wore pink shoelaces as part of the NFL's effort to raise awareness about breast cancer during the month of October.
