Kansas City hires Dave Toub

CHICAGO -- The Kansas City Chiefs hired Dave Toub as special teams coach, the team announced Tuesday.

Toub spent the past nine seasons coaching the Chicago Bears' special teams, and he had one year left on his contract.

The Bears granted Toub permission to speak with several teams over the past week. Toub has strong ties to new Chiefs coach Andy Reid and coached for Reid in Philadelphia from 2001-03 before landing in Chicago in 2004 as part of Lovie Smith's original ...
