Bears hire Tim Tibesar

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears have tabbed former Purdue Boilermakers defensive coordinator Tim Tibesar as their new linebackers coach.

Before Tibesar's lone season at Purdue, he worked under new Bears head coach Marc Trestman with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes. Tibesar coached the Alouettes' linebackers in 2009 and '10 before being promoted to defensive coordinator in '11.
