Starlin Castro gets rare day off

MILWAUKEE -- Chicago Cubs manager Dale Sveum is giving shortstop Starlin Castro his first day off in 269 consecutive games, sitting him Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Castro, batting a career-low .228, gets his first day off since 2011. He had the longest streak in the National League and was second to Prince Fielder's 418 consecutive games for the longest in baseball.
