Kris Bryant, Cubs reach $6.7M deal

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs have agreed to terms with No. 2 overall draft pick Kris Bryant, avoiding a Friday deadline for draftees to sign with their clubs, according to a source familiar with the negotiations.

The deal is for $6.7 million, highest for a draft pick in this year's class.

Bryant took his physical on Wednesday, and the deal will officially be announced on Friday, according to the source..
