Lance Briggs out at least 6 weeks

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears confirmed Monday that seven-time Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs will miss approximately six weeks due to a small fracture in his left shoulder that will not require surgery.

Briggs suffered the shoulder injury in the second half of Sunday's 45-41 loss to the Washington Redskins. He did not return to the game.
